Paula Jones, one of Humboldt County’s most beloved vocalists, takes the stage at the historic Eureka Theater for Cornucopia, a one-night-only concert celebrating the rich tapestry of jazz, funk, and gospel.

Paula’s powerful voice, shaped by her early years singing in her father’s church choir, blends spiritual depth with the improvisational fire of jazz and the irresistible grooves of R&B. She will be joined by an all-star lineup of local musicians:

About the Artists

Paula Jones is a premier vocalist and bandleader in Humboldt County, known for her dynamic performances that weave gospel, jazz, and funk into an experience that moves both heart and feet. She has been featured on PBS’s Lost Coast Sessions and regularly performs at venues across the North Coast.

Sharrone Blanck is President of the Eureka NAACP and a dedicated community leader. She brings her passion for justice, equity, and service to everything she does. As Mistress of Ceremonies, she will guide the evening with warmth, wisdom, and a deep commitment to bringing people together through the power of music and community.

Mike LaBolle is a powerhouse percussionist who has spent over eight years as part of the Dell’Arte house band. He is a featured member of RLAD, Humboldt’s premier jazz-fusion band, and has also performed with the Grateful Dead tribute band Play Dead. LaBolle is known as an outstanding drummer with exceptional chops.

Phoenix is an accomplished bassist performing regularly throughout Humboldt County. His handcrafted instruments are played by top musicians worldwide.

Bob Ebenstein is a versatile pianist who has been a fixture in the Humboldt County music scene for over a decade, performing regularly at venues across the area. He has collaborated with a wide range of local musicians and is known for his beautiful instrumental interpretations of classic and modern hits.

Paul Patterson is a jazz violinist and guitarist with an impressive international resume. He has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestras and has appeared with world-renowned guitarist John Stowell. He is a member of The Faux Frenchmen, a gypsy jazz ensemble, and has produced several albums that have received national radio play.

Adding depth and texture to the music are background vocalists Leslie Rodelander, Tina Peterson, and Lorien Sanchez.

Zalayah is a performer adding her unique presence to this special evening.

Prima Ballerina Ahava brings grace and artistry to the stage with her ballet performance.

Ballet Folklórico de Humboldt, directed by Jacqueline Silva, preserves and celebrates Mexican heritage through dazzling traditional dance.
