About the movie:
High school senior Chris Parker (Elisabeth Shue) just wants to have a quiet night babysitting the Andersons’ two kids. But when her best friend runs away from home and calls for help, Chris drags the kids into downtown Chicago – where their car gets stolen, they accidentally steal a car back, they hide out at a blues club, they outrun mobsters, they escape a gang of car thieves, and they end up on the roof of a skyscraper. All in one night. This movie is a comedy thriller before that was really a thing. It’s sharp, it’s scary, and it’s hilarious. The “And the Babysitting Blues” musical number? Iconic. Thor? He’s a total hunk. “Don’t fuck with the babysitter” (clean version: “Don’t mess with the babysitter”). On the big screen with a crowd, you’ll be yelling at the screen and laughing nonstop.
